An ATHIRATHRAM (The supreme Yaga of kerala Namboodiri Tradition) is decided to have conducted at Kaimukku Mana, Mattathurkunnu, Kodakara, Thrissur district, Kerala from March 23rd to April 3rd, 2012. This Athiraathram, a vedic performance of highestechelon, is a rare Aaswalaayana (Pakazhiya) –Boudhaayana combination.The last Athiraathram ofthis type was performed 112 years ago. Kaimukku Vaidikan Raman Somayajippadu is the master (Yajamana) of this Yaga and Arya Devi Pathanadi (his wife) is the mistress (Yajamana Patni). ThisYaga is performed under the leadership of Kaimukku Vaidikan Sreedharan Namboodiri-(his youngest Brother)a renowned Vedic Pondiff in Irinjalakuda vedic Village.
